We decided to make a week of our trip to NC for the CBF General Assembly. We always look forward to seeing good friends at CBF. And when we realized it was just a short trip away from Mimi and Grumpy, that was a no-brainer. We were NC bound!
Logan is loving his grandparents! From Big Mama’s silly faces to Mimi and Grumpy’s fun, this boy loves to play with the grands.
We spent lots of time outside, with this sunshine loving boy. Mimi got him a baby pool to play in. He was pretty nervous about it, so Jake jumped in too.
We tried to wear out this little man with sunshine and fun!
We ventured to a great lake park that Dad found. Just in time for a thunderstorm.
One of the best blessings of this past year has been the Moms group we began at our church. A very fun group of normal, down to earth Moms, who I appreciate so much. We have enjoyed getting together through the school year, and planned a few play dates this summer with the kids.
Our very own Martha Stewart, Nancy, hosted a fun water play date. For a bunch a tiny people, 1 – 3 years old, it was a magical land of awesomeness. A giant sprinkler ball, baby pool, water table, and toys a plenty. Moms had pizza, ice cream and good conversation. Fun stuff.
Logan and good buddy Quinn
Such a fun backyard day!
We ventured into the neighborhood pool and Logan may or may not like it. He hasn’t yet decided.
He definitely does not like his swim hat, but Mommy doesn’t care.
With a little coaxing from Auntie Ash, he was convinced that this gigantic bathtub was kind of fun. And splashing was super fun.
His favorite toy in the pool, however, among all the balls and floats, was this tiny leaf in Ashley’s hand. Oh my.
Once Jake got him set up with the float boat, we were good to go. It looks like we will enjoy the pool after all.
We spent a little time with Big Mama in early June with a good visit to Columbus. It wasn’t all fun . . . Brenda had to spend some time in the hospital for heart procedures again. But we did get to have some good cuddle time with Big Mama!
Logan is obsessed with glasses right now – no one can keep them on their face when he’s around. He loved making silly faces with his Big Mama and exploring every inch of her house.
All smiles in Columbus!
We had a good visit with family, including Aunt Miriam. Thanks for the super cute outfit and books, Aunt Miriam. Logan loves his, “Books! Books!”
We were glad to be there with Brenda until the docs gave her the OK to come home and play with her little grandson. Thankfully, she is on the road to getting stronger every day.
